About Tove

Tove Andersson is a visionary entrepreneur, community builder, and Web3 innovator dedicated to creating impactful solutions that empower underrepresented groups and promote equal access to opportunity for all.

As the founder of KryptoGäris, Scandinavia's premier network for women in cryptocurrency, she brought together 3,000 Swedish women to learn about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. Tove believes that without proactive participation in building the future of finance, women risk losing the hard-earned equality gains of previous generations.

Tove's project, Marriage Unblocked, uses blockchain technology to allow same-sex marriages where they are banned, challenging governmental and religious restrictions. It showcases her belief in Web3's power for good, questioning why marriage can't be as free as Bitcoin. This pilot project envisions a world where love transcends these limitations.

Tove's leadership extends beyond community initiatives; she has significantly contributed to the tech industry as the CMO of the Solidity development tool startup Superblocks and as a board member of the publicly-listed health tech company Brighter. An acclaimed international speaker, she has shared her insights on removing intermediaries to empower artists and promote privacy, equality, and human-serving technology at prominent international forums, including South by Southwest, where she spoke alongside the team of Imogen Heap. She has also been welcomed back as a judge and mentor at the world's largest blockchain hackathon, ETH Denver.

Her advocacy for a women-friendly culture within the male-dominated Web3 space, and in “Corporate America” in general, has been influential, offering valuable strategies to startups at various hackathons and conferences. Tove's written work, featured in Sweden's leading publications, critiques the societal shift towards surveillance capitalism, positing decentralized consensus systems as a fundamental solution for empowering individuals against such overreach. Her article on the subject remains the most read and shared piece for Sweden’s #1 tech journal, Breakit.

Tove's perspective is clear: to avert a dystopian future reminiscent of ""1984,"" society must embrace distributed technologies that safeguard personal freedoms and elevate human dignity. Her unwavering dedication to leveraging Web3 for societal benefit makes her an unstoppable force for “humanistic tech.” “We must ensure tech serves what's best for the human race,” she explains. “It sounds so basic, but living in Silicon Valley and having seen what social media did to our society, I think we all understand the risks of tech serving some corporate or state overlords rather than the people of the world. I think that belief is what has made the blockchain industry attract the most brilliant builders over the years—to ensure tech continuously serves humans.
